I BELIEVE IT But if we read the entire story, then we notice that in the verse preceeding the miracle, Jesus asks, "Do you believe that I am able to do this?" And they answered, "Yes, Lord!" What is important to note here is that Jesus wanted to hear it from their mouth. Of course Jesus being the all-knowing, all-wise God could read their minds and their hearts and know their true thoughts and intent. But it was important to Him what they professed with their mouth. I do not believe that if they had answered, "I think you probably can…but who knows if you will", or some of our other famous lines like, "Well, if it's Your will, then you might do it", that they would have received their miracle that day. Though they may have had some small doubt hiding way back in the deep recesses of their minds, that doubt was not spoken. They instead chose to speak by faith. Sometimes God tests our faith with the little things. We may have one really big miracle that we are seeking fervently and faithfully, but there are ten other little things that we need to trust Him for. If you can't trust Him to heal your headache, then He may not believe that you will trust Him to heal your cancer. If you can't trust Him to provide food for your table, then He may not think that you can believe Him for that new house He has your name on. Our miracle are limited by our faith…"according to your faith", He says. I can imagine that as the two blind men spoke with their mouths, "Yes, Lord we believe you can do this", they were probably hoping secretly that He wasn't reading their minds instead of listening to what they were saying with their mouths. Sometimes we have a doubt or a question about our miracles. It isn't all together that we don’t believe He can, just sometimes we doubt whether or not He will. But God is more concerned about what we say with our mouth! He says, "Speak to the mountain!" Don't "think" to the mountain! Don't "wish" for the mountain to move…You have to SPEAK IT!! Our problem is that we won't SAY we're healed until every single symptom is gone and there is not one ounce of pain left in our body. We won't SAY we're rich until there's money in the bank. We won't SAY our children are saved until we see them slain at the altar in church. But God is listening for someone to SAY it with their mouth. Proclaim that it is so! Stop speaking so negatively and pronouncing your fears. It is time to start proclaiming the miracle as though it has already happened. After all, that's really what "walking by faith and not by sight" really means. It means, even when I can't touch it, it still is. Even when I can't feel it, it still is. Even when I can't see it, it still is. God's Word stands true… IT STILL IS!
TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: TODAY'S
PRAYER: From this day forth, I will speak my miracle as though it were. Never again will I profess my doubts with my mouth. I will speak in faith. I will speak according to Your Word. Thank You, Lord, for showing me this truth. Give me the strength always to walk through the storm, still believing, and professing with my mouth that the sun still shines. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
